Background

TPS Traffic and Parking Systems, a trusted Australian systems integrator, specialized in parking management, access control, security, and Vehicle counting, People counting and general Parking equipment, has long supported developers and operators through every project phase.

For more than three years, TPS has partnered with HUB Parking Technology Australia to deliver tailored modern parking solutions designed to enhance user convenience and streamline operations across Australia.

Among their most compelling retail collaborations are Yeerongpilly Green and Capestone Village, two vibrant shopping centers.

  • Capestone Village parking entrance with HUB parking systemYeerongpilly Green, an urban village near Brisbane, with its 293 parking spaces, required a clear and intuitive ticketed system to manage short-term parking efficiently.
  • Capestone Village, part of a growing master-planned community with 150 bays, needed a ticketless LPR (License Plate Recognition) solution with online validation for retailers and 24/7 Intercom assistance.

Both sites are strategically located close to major train lines and public transport networks, acting as key mobility hubs for residents and visitors. Their developers sought a modern parking solution to improve the user experience, protect revenue stability, and support efficient, sustainable operations.

Together, TPS and HUB have delivered digitalized systems blending operational control, customer satisfaction, and environmental responsibility.

Solution

Through the combination of HUB’s Australia expertise and TPS Traffic’s local integration and service capabilities, both shopping centers now operate with modern, efficient parking systems.

Located near major railway lines and public transport connections, both Yeerongpilly Green and Capestone Village faced a common challenge: ensuring that parking spaces remained available for retail customers rather than commuters.

Yeerongpilly Green parking entrance with HUB parking systemAt Yeerongpilly Green, the existing hybrid system was upgraded to a fully ticketless configuration powered by HUB’s integration with License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology. The camera-based system identifies vehicles automatically at entry and exit, eliminating the need for paper tickets and reducing consumable costs. The installation includes a dual-lane layout featuring an entry lane, a slim exit station with Windcave payment integration, and dual LPR cameras for seamless traffic flow and efficient vehicle capture.

At Capestone Village, TPS delivered a complete turnkey installation, including all civil and electrical works, within one week. The newly developed retail site required a reliable parking system to prevent unauthorized use by commuters and ensure fair access for shoppers. The solution combined ticketless LPR entry and exit with HUB’s Jupiter stations and J4M web validation platform, enabling retailers to validate customer parking in real time via an intuitive online interface. This digital process ensures shoppers enjoy a convenient grace period, while longer stays are automatically billed, maximizing bay turnover and supporting consistent site revenue.

Both systems are supported by PRIPARK’s post-installation system management, ensuring continuous monitoring, rapid response to operational needs, and the flexibility to adapt features as the sites evolve.

The result for both installations is a smooth, intuitive parking experience for short-term visitors and a simplified management process for the operator.

From ticketless access to digital validation, these projects highlight how digitalized parking solutions can transform everyday mobility in community and retail spaces.
